Russia wants clarification on poisoning scandal in the UK

The Russian Foreign Ministry is demanding more clarification from the British government about the incident in which the former Russian double-spy Sergej Skripal and his daughter were poisoned. According to Theresa May the government in Moscow should be held responsible for this attack, while the investigation is still ongoing and according to Russia no hard evidence has yet been put on the table.

Maria Zakharova, spokeswoman for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is complaining about this state of affairs on Russian television. She wonders why no evidence is presented to them and why the United Kingdom does not follow the procedure of the OPCW, the international organization that specializes in research into the use of chemical weapons. Zakharova also wonders why the government in Russia was only given 24 hours to respond to this issue, because an investigation like this according to the OPCW standards normally takes about ten days.
